Landfill – Waste2Energy
Solution
|
Domestic and commercial
waste is a major problem worldwide and the current policy of landfill is recognised as an
unacceptable solution. Recycling is useful but only deals with a small proportion of
waste.
|

|
EWS’ system converts the waste to
energy in an environmentally beneficial way and eliminates the landfill problem – (click here for the process). Recyclable
materials are removed and the remaining waste in converted to gas which can then be used to fuel combined
heat and power systems.
Benefits include
- Elimination of landfill
- Complies with all applicable environmental regulations
- Carbon reducing process generates carbon credits
- Cost reduction through
-
- elimination of new landfill sites
- reduced transport
- simplified waste collection
- Generation of electricity from renewable source
- No capital cost to
landfill site owner
Materials Handling and Drying
EWS is the UK, European and South
African agent for a pump which, using a laminar flow principle, has substantial advantages over existing
technologies including the ability to dry solids without a heat source. Benefits include:
- High speed materials’ transfer at low pressure
- De-watering of solid materials
- Reduction of costs for transport and drying
- Reduction of carbon footprint
- Coal and ores can be crushed and graded
- High reliability and low maintenance
- Relatively small footprint
- Low installation and operating costs
- The system is sealed so dust particles are substantially reduced
